This isn't really reflective light...it's more side light.  But, when I caught this very serene face and saw these big baby blues looking back at me through my lens...I KNEW it was my picture for the week! :)

Week 2 - 52 Week Challenge

I love the reflected light in this picture.  The light from the window (which makes for an amazing back lit photo) is shining on the white table to perfectly light my sweet Leighton's face.  You can see every little freckle on her!

Week 1 - 52 Week Challenge

In 2014, I challenged myself to shoot a 365 (that's right...365 pictures in a year...one per day).  It grew me, stretched me, and taught me more than I could have ever dreamed.  But, I just didn't have the motivation to do it again.  So, this year, I am doing a 52 week challenge.  One picture a week.  And this year, I will be focusing on light.  Light can make a picture go from great to extraordinary!

Here is week 1.  My "middle" was watching tv after her bath in a dark room.  When I walked in, the only thing in light was face so I thought it was the perfect intro for the year. 

Bowden Newborn

Just before Christmas I had the privilege of photographing this gorgeous baby girl.  She was an angel and never made a peep the entire time!  Welcome to the world, Mollie!  I can't wait to get to know you more this year and see the little personality the Lord has already given you.
